Artisanal tea ritual: Red clay cup blended with handwoven cane tea filter

This turned red clay cup features a delicately handwoven tea filter made of cane.
The traditional basketweaving technique is refined and miniaturised to accomplish a new purpose.
Local crafts and materials have been translated into contemporary everyday utilities.

The  filter is meticulously crafted using locally sourced material from the Algarve, skilfully perfected by basket weaver Hortense. Her profound knowledge and refined craft skills set her apart, mastering this material like nobody else.

Note: The filter holds whole/loose leaves; broken leaves can partly pass through.
